Discovery call
You give us a call and you sit down with an engineer to find out if we can help you.
Scoping
Once we’ve decided to work together and carry out an engagement, we scope the test and tailor it to your needs.
Kickoff call
Before the test starts, the tester and the technical contact sit down together to confirm the scope, make sure the tester has everything they need and ensure the test goes smoothly.
Engagement
The tester does their thing and carries out the penetration test.
Reporting
The reporting process usually starts during the engagement and is completed once it has been completed.
Debrief
Once the report has been delivered and you’ve had a chance to digest the report, you get the chance to sit down with the tester and any staff on your team to ask questions and discuss the outcomes of the test.

Absolutely. We’re committed to ensuring you feel confident with your next steps. Retesting can be arranged as needed, although our reports are designed to give your technical teams the clarity to address issues independently if desired. For CounterSOC clients, ongoing support is built into the service—you’ll have us by your side for a full year, ready to assist whenever you need. Whether it’s a quick call or a detailed query, we’re just a message away.
Working with Trethtec
Trethtec carried out two site visits for us last Winter. I wanted to test the physical security at our core factory facility and our head office and see what the tester could do with a day at each site.
Adam carried out a highly professional assessment of both sites including night and day visits. He sneaked past security guards, compromised our network and extracted information from our staff multiple times at each location. We finally caught him two days after he started with his feet up on our MD’s desk.
During the wash up meeting we were provided with an incredibly thorough briefing of findings, photographs, maps and observations. The report we received went far above and beyond what we expected from two days' work and what we had come to expect from other providers.
We had been working with another testing provider who carried out the same test but with a fraction of the results. Other testing providers provided a service more akin to an audit whereas Trethtec demonstrated what a real motivated adversary could achieve.
